The Spyker C8 Preliator XXV is a hand-built hypercar. Each Preliator, from I to XXV, is commissioned around its owner rather than configured from a menu. Preliator stands for warrior in Latin.
The Preliator’s chassis and bodywork are formed from high-grade aluminum. Power comes from a twin-turbocharged V8 of the same lineage that has propelled virtually every Spyker to date. Where the original Spykers boasted 400 bhp from a 4.2-liter unit, a quarter of a century later that figure has doubled to 800 bhp. Mid-mounted, ahead of the rear axle for optimal road holding and weight distribution, it remains resolutely mechanical. There is no hybrid or electric propulsion: this is an analog machine made to be experienced with all senses.
In the details is where a Spyker reveals itself. Each car takes eight hundred hours to build by hand, forty of them on the interior alone. Eleven hides from the best tannery cover the cabin. The steering wheel is stitched with two needles at once by one craftsman over four hours. The screwheads are aligned by hand to face the same direction. No one will notice, which is precisely the point.
Each chassis number is stamped into the aluminum spaceframe by hand by founder Victor R. Muller, no two impressions alike. Built in a small workshop near Amsterdam by a marque making carriages and cars by hand since 1880, the Spyker C8 Preliator XXV makes its world debut during Car Week 2026.
