Ken Okuyama Cars — Kode89: See it on our 2026 Concept Lawn
August 15, 2026
The Kode89 concept is a lightweight, mid-engine car with an aluminum space frame and carbon-fiber skin structure, combining a naturally aspirated V12 engine with a manual transmission.
Kode89 will make its world premiere at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, marking the latest one-off two-seater creation from Japan’s top coachbuilder, Ken Okuyama Cars.

This super sports car can handle everything from the racetrack to daily use, allowing both professionals and gentlemen drivers to drive it exactly as they wish.
The concept’s elegant yet powerful design revives the glory of 1989, when Italian and Japanese cars reached the pinnacle of the 20th century.

Kode89 is Ken Okuyama’s long-held dream, realized through his own design vision and manufactured at his own factory. He has designed numerous Italian supercars for brands such as Ferrari and Maserati, and he created Kode89 based on his design principles of “modern, simple, and timeless.”
