Prospective Judges
The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance prides itself in being a premier automotive event and having the best selection of cars is only the half of it. We are pleased to have industry leaders, experts and influencers in their field as part of our Judging team.
Our judging process is two-fold: Class Judges focus primarily on originality and authenticity, while Honorary Judges direct their attention to design, styling and elegance.
Class Judges, overseen by our Chief Judge Chris Bock, evaluate all of the candidates in a particular class to determine if they are correctly preserved or restored. Class Judges are each acknowledged experts on a specific marque or marques, and they judge only the class related to their area of expertise.
Teams of Honorary Judges, overseen by Chief Honorary Judge Stephen Brauer, undertake the more subjective task of determining the winners of many additional special awards apart from the class competition and Best of Show. But only the cars that are named First in Class are eligible to compete for Best of Show.
As a Class or Honorary Judge for the Pebble Beach Concours you will be invited to:
- Concours Pre Event Gala
- A Judges breakfast and luncheon on Concours Sunday
- Concours Post Show Buffet
- Have a spouse or significant other attend the Participants Patio on Concours Sunday
- Receive a credential for you and three guests to attend the event
